On 7 November, 2010, a team of 10 En Masse artists assembled in the 7ième ciel (“seventh heaven”) room at Cirque du Soleil Montreal headquarters. They flipped through a provided assortment of Cirque du Soleil books, examining images from the company’s productions to get their imaginations flowing, and then approached a bank of canvases, five metres squared, with paint and brushes in hand.
